Takada Gakudo
Takada Gakudo Shigeru was born on 19 June 1939 in Yokohama, Japan. He stated his Budo carrier with Kendo at the age of 13. In 1953 he joined Dai Nippon Teikoku Shinkenkan Dojo and started practicing Iaido under the guidance of Matsuo Kenpu.

May 1975: Receives 8th Dan Kyōshi and Menkyo Kaiden in Muso Shinden-ryu from Matsuo Kenpu-sensei
June 1975: Introduces Iaidō in Hawaii
1983: Becomes Chairman and Kendo Instructor of the Kanazawa Police Station Youth Kendo Promotion Association
May 1986: Receives 8th Dan in Iaidō
May 1996: Receives Hanshi in Iaidō
September 2004: Receives 10th Dan Hanshi in Iaidō; Teaches twice to three times a year abroad for the past 25 years (Sweden, Finland, Estonia, Latvia, Bulgaria)
